Dolcedormire, stage name of Simone Trotta, a young artist born in 1998 in Bollate, western suburbs of Milan. His songs are inspired by the fairy tales that his grandfather invented to put him to sleep when he was a child, which is why in his lyrics we find a fairy-tale imagery, used by Dolce as a stylistic and identifying feature to describe moods and life experiences.
The creative process is varied, sometimes he writes alone starting from an instrument or a type beat, other times he is inspired by moods created in the studio together with his two producers.
Tattoos are Simone’s other great passion, an activity that he has undertaken a couple of years ago and where he graduated from a specialist school.
Dolcedormire published the songs “cuore sacro”, “dolce” and “fango” in 2023, premiered live at the Legend Club in Milan.
In 2024, he released “dimora perfetta”, a song that tells of the point of arrival after a long personal and artistic search that began with the publication of the previous singles. “dimora perfetta” means “perfect home”, therefore the song represents a turning point in
Dolcedormire’s journey, who after having fought against his intrusive thoughts, reaches tranquility and security by discovering that there is no other better place to live than his own body, which is able to ward off the negativity of the outside world.
Each of us is our own “perfect home”: we are self-sufficient and we are our safe haven capable of overcoming any difficulty.
With this song, Dolcedormire continues the journey in search of new sounds and while remaining faithful to straight-bass and experimental electronic sounds, it also demonstrates the ability to know how to play with new sounds oriented towards the pop world.
After opening the sold out concerts of the Stunt Pilots in Milan, he released the song “piercing all’anima” and is writing his new EP which will be released by the end of the year.
