IL GATTOPARDO

For the launch of the new series “Il Gattopardo”, inspired by the homonymous book by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa, Piazza San Babila hosted from the 26th of February to the 1st of March an installation dedicated to the book. The structure, 4.5 meters high, seemed to come to life thanks to the decorative elements that came out of the pages. 

On Saturday, March 1st, the installation was enriched by the musical performance of a violin and classical guitar duo, who performed the songs of the series’ soundtrack.

On March, 3rd, on the occasion of the world premiere, a formation of 100 Garibaldini marched waving Italian flags from Largo di Villa Peretti, passing through Via del Viminale and reaching the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome. A historical reenactment true to the spirit of the series.
