GREAT SUCCESS FOR THE FIRST EDITION OF Nitto ATP FINALS ‘GRAND OPENING SHOW’.
HOSTED BY ALESSANDRO CATTELAN
PERFORMANCES BY MARCO MENGONI, BLANCO AND MADAME
SPECIAL GUESTS SINNER, VAVASSORI AND BOLELLI

Turin, 9 November 2024 – For the first time in history, the tennis court of the Inalpi Arena in Turin was transformed into a stage to host the first edition of Nitto ATP Finals 2024 ‘Grand Opening Show’, the show that, on November, 8th , officially inaugurated the exclusive tennis tournament that sees the 8 best players in the world compete.

The surface of the tennis court hosted projections, light shows, exclusive performances and an innovative experience for the spectator to give an answer to the theme of the evening: “What’s underneath the surface?”. The aim of the show was leading the public to discover the different worlds that can be hidden beneath the surface of the tennis court.

In a completely sold out arena, the evening – organized by FITP, in association with the ATP, and with the support of Live Nation, which was entrusted with the production of the event, and LaTarma Entertainment, which took care of the artistic and creative direction, took spectators on an immersive experience with great music at its center.

The opening of the evening was an emotional journey, exploring the sensations hidden behind a tennis match. Two performers represented the tension, the adrenaline and the anticipation of the game, up to the final moment when they both exchanged a gesture of respect and sportsmanship. The words “Push Limits”, “Play True”, “Win Together” were the claims used as symbols of a philosophy that makes competition an art.

Alessandro Cattelan accompanied the audience along a great show of music and sport, divided in three sets just like a tennis match, one for each artist called to perform: Blanco, Madame and Marco Mengoni.

Again Cattelan involved, with his unmistakable ironic style, some top players in interviews and impossible challenges starting from the beloved world no. 1 Jannik Sinner and ending with Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori, the strongest Italian doubles pair in the ranking, involved with Marco Mengoni and Cattelan in an unmissable challenge to the last racket shot.

The finale was then entrusted to the multi-platinum producers Zef&Marz, who concluded the evening with a DJ set.
